Nickel-plated
Nickel-plated chains are used in humid environments and where corrosion is undesirable.
They are also used where the chains are in sight and one wants to achieve a particular optical effect. In principle, all steel chains can be nickel-plated. The nickel layer on the steel parts ensures a somewhat reduced breaking load.
If this corrosion protection still offers insufficient protection, stainless steel may be a solution. Stainless steel chains, however, have a significantly lower tensile strength than steel chains or nickel-plated chains.
Nickel-plated chains made in accordance with DIN 8187 are kept in stock.
